Why Isn't My Blog Post Publishing from the CMS?

Troubleshooting Live Publishing

If you clicked Save in the CMS but your blog post or help article is not visible on your live website, walk through this quick 4-step diagnostic checklist.

1. Check the Document Status Field

By default, all newly created records in Marketora CMS are created in Draft state. The public Next.js website and the headless API explicitly filter for status == 'Published'. Draft records return an HTTP 404 on the public site by design.

2. Verify Required Publishing Fields

The CMS controller enforces strict content integrity. A document cannot be published if any of the following fields are empty:

  • Title and unique Slug.
  • Category / Help Category: Required for listing taxonomy grouping.
  • Body: The core rich-text content field must not be blank.

3. Check Webhook Revalidation Status

When a document publishes, Frappe fires a POST request to /api/revalidate with the affected tags. If your web host was temporarily sleeping, deploying, or restarting, the webhook may have encountered a transient timeout.

4. Hard Refresh Your Browser

Your local browser cache or intermediate proxy may hold an older static page. Perform a hard reload (Ctrl + Shift + R or Cmd + Shift + R) to bypass local cache.

If the post still does not appear, check the Error Log in your Frappe Desk for any reported revalidation failures.
